Frequently Asked Questions | CLAY & INK
Q1: Are your porcelain pieces truly handmade?
Yes. Every piece is handcrafted in Jingdezhen, China, following the traditional "72 Processes." Our artisans use premium kaolin clay and authentic "Miaojin" (Gold Tracing) techniques. The high temperature multiple firings ensure the vibrant colors and the lasting brilliance of the gold.
Q2: Why is each piece unique and only available in limited quantities?
Because they are made by hand, not machines. The painter's brushstrokes and the kiln's subtle variations make each piece one of a kind. Our high-end collections are curated as exclusive art pieces. Most items are listed with a quantity of 1. If you see a piece you love, we highly recommend purchasing it immediately, as it will not be restocked.
Q3: How do you ensure the porcelain arrives safely?
We understand the fragility of porcelain. We use professional, multi-layered shockproof packaging specifically designed for high-end ceramics. Each piece is carefully wrapped in custom foam and sturdy boxes to withstand international transit. We ship directly from Jingdezhen to your door.
Q4: Do you ship to the Middle East?
Yes, we proudly serve customers in the Middle East, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia. We support secure payments in AED (via our local payment partners) and USD. Please allow 7-15 business days for delivery after dispatch, depending on your location.
Q5: What if my item arrives damaged?
In the rare event of transit damage, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and the damaged item. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly
Q6: Can I return or exchange an item?
Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of our art pieces, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind. Please review our Refund Policy for full details. If there is a manufacturing defect, please contact us at clayandink@clayandinkstudio.com immediately.
